Sarah Withers: Sarah Withers is an assistant pastor at the Beaverton Seventh-day Adventist Church. Her particular focus is family ministry. Out of all the responsibilities, her most favorite are planning children’s church and decorating for VBS.

Heidi McGill: Heidi McGill is the children’s ministries leader at the Beaverton Seventh-day Adventist Church. She loves to empower fellow ministers while working to fill the discipleship journeys of kids with meaningful encounters with Jesus.

Pivot Point Title: Making Children’s Story Memorable

Presenter:  Shirley Allen

Shirley Allen, Oregon Conference children’s ministries director, has a passion to share Jesus with children. She began in South Africa and has been actively pursuing that for the last 18 years in Oregon. Her favorite pastime is talking to her family in South Africa, England and Baltimore.

Pivot Point Title: Healthy and Fun Food Ideas for Kids 

Presenter:  Jeanne Ekvall

Jeanne Ekvall has enjoyed teaching and counseling kids and working with families for many years. As a dietitian, her goal is to help kids learn to choose healthy foods as well as make everyday healthy choices. She has three children and four grandchildren, and lives with her husband in Brewster, Washington.

Pivot Point Title: Recruiting Children’s Ministry Volunteers

 

Presenter:  Jackee Duvall

Jackee is a member of Sunnyside Church and is currently serving as children’s ministries director. She has been a volunteer in PTA for 25 years volunteering for the Portland Council PTA. She has also served the last thirteen years on the board of directors for Oregon PTA, serving two years as president of the association.

Presenter:  Nitza Salazar

Nitza Salazar, Washington Conference children’s ministries director, is passionate about evangelism. In 2018 she started a ministry with special needs children that not only impacted her church but her community as well.
