The NPUC Young Adult Leadership Team, comprised of Young Adults and Young Adult Directors, is excited about the Northwest Young Adult Outreach Summit! It is a dynamic two-day event, September 12-13, designed to inspire, engage, and empower young adults for missional adventures. This year’s Summit includes the highly anticipated Spark Tank experience, where teams can pitch their innovative ministry ideas and receive a portion of $75,000 to bring ideas to life.

Event Highlights

  • Guest Speaker: Kevin Wilson, Sunnyside SDA Church youth pastor from Oregon
  • Spark Tank Experience: Have a ministry idea? Enter your proposal for a chance to receive up to $10,000 to fund your ministry initiative. Each conference will have two teams representing their field.
  • Engaging Worship and Word: Join us for a time of worship and inspirational messages designed to ignite your passion for mission and outreach.
  • Networking Opportunities: Connect with other young adults and leaders from across the region. Build relationships, share ideas, and collaborate on projects that make a difference.

Speaker Profile

Pastor Kevin Wilson is an international speaker, author, pastor and entrepreneur. In addition to ministering to his local congregation, Kevin is also known as “Chaplain Chai” to a global online community of around half-a-million “besteas,” many of whom are non-Christian.

He pastors to them through digital storytelling using chai tea – the beloved beverage of his south-Asian heritage – as a canvas for sharing thoughts about justice, meaningful living and contextual theology.

His content has been featured in Forbes, NPR, The New York Times, Yahoo, Bon Appetit Magazine, the Seventh-day Adventist World Church and other local and global news networks.

Accommodation Details

  • Spark Tank Team Members:  There will be a limited number of hotel rooms available, AT NO COST, for Spark Tank team members. These free rooms are on a first registered basis, for Friday and Saturday nights. These rooms are for those who live more than 30 miles from the venue. To qualify for a free room, the room must have a minimum of 2 people. The rooms will have double queen configuration, so others can be invited if the group leader chooses to do so.
  • Lunch and Dinner on Sabbath, Sept. 13th will be provided for all who are registered at NO COST. Free breakfast is provided for those staying at the hotel.

  • Outreach Summit Registration Deadline – Space is Limited!
    • June 15 – August 24 – Registration open for Spark Tank team members only
    • August 25 – September 8 – Open registration for all young adults
